I have to admit that when i get asked to do an engagement session outside in the winter months i do not get excited . This week i got to meet Sarah and Brett in Pennsylvania . It changed everything about how i feel about cold photo shoots. The snow was absolutely beautiful. God put on a show of perfection. Large white flakes falling all while Sarah and Brett display their candy sweet romance at every click. I was an awe. To look at them and see what a gift they have in each other , its like turning to the best page in a love story. I was a little nervous about Brett because men , especially the hunting kind, the manly men, they don't really like to be photographed so much, i assumed. I was warned that his mom took 1 quick high school photo of him and that was his experience as a model. I told him to give me an hour just in case he was thinking it would only last a few clicks . To my surprise he was a natural and i know why!? I know the secret!!! He is in love . ( we went for almost 2 hrs) I told Sarah and Brett that over the years I have started to read people. When you see people and watch them react for so long you can sometimes know what they are feeling. I could see Brett. He is satisfied. Satisfied with his life. He got his perfect girl . He is content and happy! As for Sarah. she is beautiful and smart , happy and she welcomes his love and she is a giver. They got it! They got the love thats going to last. Its special and sweet!!!!
We did the photoshoot in Sugar Grove Pa on their family property, it was so perfect for this shoot. A sweet little cabin set on 70 acres of land, it was a winter wonderland.
( thank you sarah for your gift!! ( a cup perfect for a super large hot chocolate after a snowy shoot filled with Hersey's kisses)
